Terms of use
Written to be read rather than clicked past. Nothing important is hidden in here — the disclaimers that matter are also on their own page.
Version 2026-08-04.1 · Effective August 4, 2026
1. Who you are dealing with
Credit File Corrections is operated by TBD-ENTITY-NAME. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal services.
2. No legal advice, no attorney-client relationship
Everything here is general information about how credit reporting and disputes work. It is not legal advice, and it is not advice about your situation. Using the site does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone, and what you enter here is not privileged merely because you entered it here.
3. You are responsible for what you send
The letter templates and the letter builder produce drafts from what you type. We do not verify your facts, and we do not review your letters. Read every line before you sign and send anything, and correct anything that is not accurate. Do not assert something is inaccurate, or fraudulent, unless you believe it to be true — there are consequences for false statements to credit bureaus, particularly in identity theft submissions.
4. No promises about results
We do not guarantee that any item will be deleted or corrected, that your score will change, that a dispute will succeed, or that any lawyer will take your case. We make no representation about the outcome of anything.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site to submit information you know to be false.
- Use it on someone else's behalf without their authority.
- Scrape it, overload it, or try to break it.
- Reuse the templates as part of a commercial service that charges consumers for assistance with their credit files.
The templates are free for you to use for your own credit file, and for a lawyer or nonprofit to use with the people they serve. That is the intended use.
6. Third-party sites
We link to AnnualCreditReport.com, government resources, and monitoring providers. Those are separate companies and agencies operating under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.
7. The optional attorney review
If you request a review, you are asking us to transmit what you entered to Madgett Law, LLC. That request is not representation. The firm may decline. Representation begins only if conflicts are cleared and you sign a separate written engagement agreement with the firm, which is a separate contract between you and them and is not governed by these terms.
Credit File Corrections receives no legal fee, no share of any recovery, and no payment of any kind connected to a review request or its outcome.
8. Availability
The site is offered to Minnesota residents, is provided as-is, and may change or be discontinued. We do not promise it will always be available.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, TBD-ENTITY-NAME is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in them is intended to disclaim any obligation a law firm owes you separately.
10. Changes
These terms are versioned. When they change materially, the version number changes, and receipts record the version in effect when you acted.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Minnesota law.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms go to support.
